Highway Robbery: Part 7 + New Webcomic!

It’s a busy time for us here at Bulletproof Comics as we’re putting the finishing touches to the forthcoming Bulletproof # 2 and diving straight into issue # 3. The plan is to launch issue # 3 at this year’s BICS, so more info on that soon.

In the meantime, we’ve got a fantastic double treat for you today! First up is the latest installment of Highway Robbery PLUS we also have the premiere of an all-new Webcomic, the awesome Ex Astris by John Freeman and Mike Nicoll!

There’ll be a new, 10-page, full colour Ex Astris strip debuting in Bulletproof # 2, but for now we’ll be uploading a new weekly adventure right here. Check it out and let us now what you think!

New Redstitch Text Story in Bulletproof # 2!

Yep, Somber City’s Big Red Pepper will be back in an all-new Redstitch story in Bulletproof # 2! And the real kicker is that writer Lee Langford has crafted a tense text-based noir nightmare of a story, coupled with artist extraordinaire Klaus Belarski’s stark black and white illustrations. The result is a unique strip perfectly pitched and suited to Bulletproof’s anthology structure.

With Bulletproof # 2 nearly completed, here’s a taster of what to expect:

“Hat down, collar up and coat pulled tightly around him, Redstitch runs against the beating rain, winding his way through the labyrinth of alleyways towards Greasy Street, the many arms of the wind stabbing invisible knives around sharp brick corners like so many blind muggers, when Redstitch suddenly finds himself in trouble.

The full moon glares down onto the wide patch of waste-ground running the rear of Greasy Street. At one end stand The Hirows, holding brick-bats and knives. At the other end stand The Vilenz, holding bottles and rock-socks. The alley is silently calm, just as it always is before the storm of battle under the great white moon. But now a mutual enemy has blundered in between them and the rules have instantly changed without a word or signal between war chiefs. The two gangs are now suddenly allies…”
